Department of Transfusion Medicine of SPS Hospitals is NABH Accredited and is an integral part of the healthcare delivery system at SPS Hospitals. The aim of the department is to provide effective blood and blood products, which are as safe as possible, and adequate to meet the patients need.
We ensure safe and proper transfer of blood or blood products from one person (the donor) into the recipient’s bloodstream. The department uses state-of-art technology and stringent quality control protocols to ensure timely supply of the safest possible blood and blood components.
We have state of art Advanced Immunohemaotology Workup available in order to ensure detection of even weakest antibodies and provide the safest blood to the patients.

Dr. Aikaj Jindal is Consultant and Head in the Department of Transfusion Medicine at SPS Hospital, Ludhiana. He has done his MBBS, MD (Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion), MBA (Hospital and Health Systems Management) (BITS Pilani) and has specialty in Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion.
