The department has well-equipped endoscopy suites and post-procedure recovery manned by well-trained (ACLS Certified) nursing staff. We routinely place biliary, esophageal and colonic stents and carry out advanced therapeutic procedures like sub-mucosal resection for the management of early GI cancers besides advanced laparoscopic, biliary/pancreatic, colorectal, and oncologic procedures. Our Centre is among the few to offer scar minimal access surgery options using the latest technology. We perform bariatric procedures on morbidly obese patients to help them achieve significant weight loss when an exercise and diet program has been instituted but has not succeeded. This often helps them overcome co-morbid conditions such as hypertension, Type 2 diabetes, and obstructive sleep apnea. We also perform open surgical procedures wherever indicated. Our gastro surgery team includes experienced surgeons, skilled anesthetists and intensivists, and trained surgical residents.
We routinely perform keyhole surgery for bowel cancer, gall bladder & liver problems. All Bariatric surgery is done by key hole on regular basis.
We are one of the highest volume centers in North India for definitive treatment of Liver & pancreatic cancer (Liver Cancer treatment include radio frequency / microwave ablation, TACE (Transarterial Chemoembolization), Laparoscopic & open surgical procedures where we remove up to 60-70% of liver.)
Liver Transplantation facilities (Liver donor & Cadaveric liver transplant) is available in the unit.
